Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, ex-chef for the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature sparkling blonde locks, and her bubbly up appearance, offers easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell was also employed by several of the most prestigious restaurants located in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the region of upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food from very young. Her passion was for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America after earning a degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I was never able to learn or be a better cook than I did. Chef Burrell following her graduation from The Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy worked for one year in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef gained an understanding of Italian food and culture through her travels in Italy which has had an impact on the way she cooks. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve children's lives who are facing obstacles. Also, she's a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador which promotes education about young-onset diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to talk about her love of food as well as her career in the culinary field.
