Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark sparkling blonde locks, and her bubbly up personality, reveals easy techniques anyone can learn. Chef Burrell has also worked at some of the top restaurants in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating at young age. Following her graduation with an English as well as Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was impossible to learn about, practice or do all the things I did. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids with disabilities. In her role as a speaker, Burrell is on the road to promote her love for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Through the course of her cooking career, Anne often says that she feels very fortunate to share what I love most in life with others.
