Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Burrell is host of the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and her energised appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master for the at-home cook on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was also employed by many of the best restaurants located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell began to develop a love of cooking and eating at an early age. She pursued her love of food and restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was difficult to master about, practice or do all the things I did. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and it has had an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of kids who face challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. She frequently travels around the country as a mentor and the guest speaker who discusses her work and passion for cooking. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has often said that I am blessed to be able to share what I love most for life with people.
